The heart and soul of the In Context Bible Study Newsletter is 2Timothy 2:15. The greatest thing we can do for our Christian readers is to encourage them to continually read and study the Word of God and to help them do so. Teach a man all you know about the Bible and he’ll know as much as you. Teach a man to interpret the Bible for himself and he can teach you something new tomorrow.

We teach that the most important thing to man is the revealed Word of God. Without the Word of God, the most man can know about God is what he can discern from the creation above, around, and beneath him. From creation we know there is a Creatour and that the Creatour is infinitely intelligent and powerful. However, from God’s revealed Word we can learn about the Creatour and His creation. From God’s Word we learn that we have all sinned against Creatour God and we all are appointed unto death and then eternal judgment. It is only from God’s Word that we learn that eternal judgment is avoided and eternal life with God is gained by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Without the Word of God, we could never know the God that is. Neither could we know what God requires of us and what God has for us. It is only by God’s Word that we can know, love, worship, thank, serve, and praised God for His greatness and goodness.
